Paul Schutt, co-Chief Executive Officer
Prior to founding Issue Media Group, Brian directed e-Business Solutions for Infinity Broadcasting (Viacom), where he created "small" media within a radio giant. The e-Business Solutions team managed the sales, marketing, and creation of 11 online publications targeting niche audiences for technology, automotive, human resources, alternative energy, small business and real estate. In consecutive years, Infinity recognized Brian as a Newcomer of the Year and New Business Leader of the Year for its seven Detroit stations.
Prior to joining Viacom, Brian was Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Development for Drillbit, a publishing consultant specializing in niche online content models. The Drillbit approach and content management solution were instrumental in assisting national "alternative weekly" publications to leverage online content to grow new audiences and revenues. Drillbit created the award-winning www.metrotimes.com site. Brian received his Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University.
Paul Schutt is the co-founder of Issue Media Group. He brings a background in technology, business development and strategy to IMG from his work with the other companies he has co-founded and led over the past 19 years.
In 2004, Paul sold the technology company he co-founded and led for 10 years, The Collective, which provided internet application development solutions for government, higher education, healthcare and corporate clients. Schutt also co-founded the rapidly growing Cleveland-based technology firm Easy2 Technologies in 1999. Easy2 provides rich retail solutions to the world's largest retailers and manufacturers in home improvement, consumer electronics, juvenile products, sporting goods, and housewares including Lowes, Wal-Mart, Amazon, Target and others.
Paul serves on private and public boards including the board of trustees of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, Washtenaw Community College Foundation and Summers-Knoll School. Paul received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ferris State University.
Ashley Aidenbaum, Director of Business Development
Ashley is a Group Publisher and the Director of Business Development for Issue Media Group. She is focused on driving the company's expansion into larger media markets while leading their international sales team. She was recently featured in the Detroit Jewish News
as a future community leader. Prior to joining Issue Media Group, Ashley worked as an urban policy consultant for the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) through Public Policy Associates. Prior to that, she graduated from the University of Michigan, where she studied Cultural Anthropology and History. She is also the founder of Fashion Lunch Break
Amy Elliott Bragg, Director of Custom Programs
As director of custom programs, Amy Elliott Bragg oversees more than twenty custom publications, custom content programs, and multi-market underwriting programs and the creative talent that staffs them. She is also the editor of Talent Dividend Network, a national web magazine about cities working to improve college attainment rates, produced in partnership with CEOs for Cities. Prior to joining IMG, Amy was senior editor of an online arts magazine in Milwaukee, WI. She is a graduate of Beloit College and a freelance Detroit history enthusiast who hosts frequent talks, tours, and events.
Denise McGeen, Director of Client Services
As Director of Client Services, Denise is responsible for cultivating lasting business relationships with Issue Media Group's partners by providing ongoing client support while ensuring projects remain within schedule, scope, and budget. Prior to joining IMG in September 2012, Denise worked as an historic preservation specialist and planner on urban development and infrastructure projects in both the public and private sectors. Her past employers include The Henry Ford, Parsons Brinckerhoff, and Michigan Community Resources. Denise holds a master's degree in Public History from the State University of New York at Albany with a certificate in Historic Preservation from Eastern Michigan University.
Oksana Panarina, Controller
Oksana Panarina brings twenty years of experience in finance and accounting to her role as Issue Media Group's financial controller, where she leads day-to-day financial operations as well as the company's long-term financial strategy and reporting. Prior to joining IMG, Oksana was a Senior Accountant with All Media Guide in Ann Arbor, publishers of allmusic.com, and for five years owned and managed a sales and marketing firm based in Tecumseh, Michigan. She is a graduate of St. Petersburg International Institute of Management (IMISP) in St. Petersburg, Russia, and holds a Masters degree in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix.
Jamie Rudell, Director of Product Development
Since 2006, Jamie has been involved in every publication the company has launched. Starting as a project manager, she's played a vital role in producing every weekly publication and developing processes and functionality that makes IMG's sites engaging. In her role as director of product development since 2009, Jamie has helped conceive the look and feel of all publications, as IMG has grown from one publication in Detroit to over 30 from Toronto to Tampa. She also oversees a talented production team that includes a graphic designer, web developer and additional support staff. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor's in Geography, focusing on urban development strategies.
