Kathy has a Bachelor’s Degree in print journalism from Central Michigan University and worked at The Bay City Times from 1987 to 2002 as a reporter and an editor at the paper. She moved to Bay City in 1987 with the intention of staying no more than 5 years, but fell in love with the people, location, summer festivals, and watching the Saginaw River change with the seasons as reasons she wanted to get involved with Route and help tell the story of Bay City.
