Alja Kooistra

Alja Kooistra is an editorial project manager and copy editor with over 20 years of experience in book and journal publishing. She specializes in coordinating complex, high-stakes editorial projects, having previously managed the production of academic monographs for nonprofits and multi-volume reference works for global publishers.

At Issue Media Group, Alja applies her deep expertise to ensure underwriter-supported series are executed with precision and editorial excellence. In addition to her work with IMG, she continues to copy edit for professional journals in media studies, literature, and electronic publishing.

Alja earned an MS in Publishing from Pace University. While her extensive background in managing large-scale editorial deliverables provides peace of mind for our partners, it has yet to impress her cat.
