Casey

Casey Grooten is a Project Manager on the Client Services team, bringing a wealth of experience in community leadership and interdisciplinary arts to Issue Media Group. A Kalamazoo native and Western Michigan University graduate with a degree in English, Casey serves as the Executive Director of the Kalamazoo Poetry Festival, where they lead intentional, community-focused initiatives and manage organizational growth.

At IMG, Casey applies their background in executive leadership and real estate to manage complex projects with a focus on social justice, equity, and the arts. Their ability to navigate diverse stakeholder needs ensures that underwriter-supported projects are handled with both professional rigor and deep community sensitivity.

An interdisciplinary artist, Casey spends their free time creating visual art and music. They are a passionate advocate for transgender rights and community-driven events, often incorporating found and recycled materials into their creative work to reflect their lifelong love of nature.
