| The gridlock in the federal government this fall — not to mention budget woes at some state levels — prompted community groups and concerned citizens to take action. Among them were groups in Bay County, Michigan. They created a coalition to collect and distribute to those in need in the wake of cuts to the federal food program. That work continued even after the shutdown ended. |
