Route Bay City

The invitation for IMG to expand into Bay County emerged from its presentation to a roundtable of Community Foundation CEOs at the invitation of the Community Foundation for St. Clair County (a partner of IMG publication The Keel). As a result of that presentation, Issue Media Group was invited to present its work to a regional leadership coalition comprised of more than 20 organizations, many of which formed the funding coalition that launched Route Bay City in 2018. 

Route Bay City’s coalition is led in a big part by the leadership at Bay Area Community Foundation, who helped gather other philanthropic and community entities to fill the news gap by supporting and underwriting Route Bay City.

Now a Bay County institution, the publication focuses on the dynamic communities, businesses, and residents of the Michigan county, covering what’s next in entrepreneurship, creative culture, and urban development.
