In partnership with the Michigan Nonprofit Association and Co.Act Detroit, we launched the Nonprofit Journal Project in 2020. The series was designed to lift up the voices of nonprofits as they dealt with extreme circumstances and demand for their services amid the Covid-19 pandemic and a national racial justice reckoning.
The Michigan Nonprofit Association produced a video showcasing how nonprofits rose to the occasion, delivering on their mission even as they were stretched to their limits. We were honored to help describe the challenge and how the Nonprofit Journal Project became one way to bring attention and resources to the sector. The video recently won an American Business Award in the video category –- we encourage you to check it out and reflect on how nonprofits were absolutely critical to our communities during the height of the pandemic.
