Two IMG publications –
83 Degrees and
Input Fort Wayne – are working collaboratively with local chapters of the AARP to cover issues important to people over 50.
The
83 Degrees team is working collaboratively with AARP Tampa Bay to increase awareness and understanding of issues affecting the live, work, play, and stay opportunities in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida for people over 50. The team produces monthly feature stories and short video stories about aging relevant to successful living and lifestyles in the Tampa Bay Area. The first first video story looks at housing trends and affordable housing opportunities.

The
Input Fort Wayne team is working with AARP Indiana to cover the “eight Domains of Livability” – outdoor spaces and buildings, transportation, housing, social participation, respect and social inclusion, work and civic engagement, communication and information, and community and health services. “We found that the issues that AARP is focused on are the same issues that impact people of all other age groups,” says
Input Editor Brittany Smith. “Addressing these problems and making a community more livable for one age group, makes it more livable for all age groups.”
What is social isolation and how is it impacting Fort Wayne residents?
