Misty Barron is a Mid-Michigan native and has embraced Midland as her home over the last six years. A recent graduate of Delta College, she earned an associate's degree with a concentration in journalism and holds additional certificates in web design and writing. Misty's journey into journalism began unexpectedly through her initial interest in graphic design. She quickly progressed from layout editor to managing editor at Delta College's student newspaper, The Collegiate. Her dedication and journalism skills were recognized when she was honored with several awards, including "Journalist of the Year" in 2023 by the Michigan Community College Press Association.
